Beaches

Calpe boasts five Blue Flag beaches including:

Puerto Blanco Beach

Just a short (600m) walk from the villa. It is a secluded beach with 60m of sand, beyond which it turns into pebbles and rocks. A calm beach, it attracts people that just want to enjoy the scenery and sun - although there is some great snorkelling with plenty of marine life around the rocks. In the adjacent harbour is the Peurto Blanco Yacht Club, a dive club, jet skis, a restaurant and a bar where you can relax whilst watching boats sail by.

Arenal or Bol Beach (pictured here)

A beautiful sandy beach over 1200m long and 50 metres wide. The first 300 metres of beach are more secluded as the sand is enclosed between water and cliffs. There is a jetty where you can do some great snorkelling. The newly rebuilt promenade leads all the way from the town to the harbour. Along the promenade are some of Calpe's best restaurants, bars, arcades, shops, market stalls, mini-golf, play area, volleyball nets, small football pitch, sailing and many other things to do.

Levante or La Fossa Beach

950m long and 50 metre wide. With The Peñón de Ifach to its south and the cliffs to its north, the views from this beach are amazing. Along the beach are many things to do including play areas, volleyball, pedalo, sailing, jet skis and great snorkelling. There is a lovely promenade with restaurants, bars, ice-cream stalls, shops and a small market. This is one of the nicest beaches of the Costa Blanca and one of the top Spanish beaches.

Playa de Cantal Roig

This is alongside the harbour and can be quieter and more sheltered from the winds.

There are other great beaches and coves in and around Calpe, from large sandy beaches full of entertainment to small quiet coves.

Calpe is also famous for its marine beauty, especially in the area surrounding the Peñón de Ifach. There is a wide variety of diving excursions and boat trips to nearby islands and coves.
